The Directions
Starting in San Jose del Pacifico, take 175 towards to coast for 11 miles (18 km) and then turn left at the sign for San Mateo Rio Hondo

Pass through San Mateo Rio Hondo and take the dirt road on the backside of town towards Cienguilla
​
From there ride until you reach San Juan Ozolotepec (the end of the road)

Come back to San Jose the same way expect stay right on the main road in Cieneguilla — Head towards San Sebastián Río Hondo

The Weather
The weather changes quickly in these mountains, so be prepared for cold, rain, fog

I started the ride in freezing fog with no visibility and about 2 hours in was met with warm sunshine — The weather then turned in the later afternoon with more cold fog
